Si të krahasosh dy ose më shumë gjëra.

Shpjegimi

Mbiemrat e shkurtër (një rrokje) marrin -er për krahasoren dhe -est për sipërore: tall → taller → the tallest.

Mbiemrat e gjatë (dy e më shumë rrokje) përdorin 'more' dhe 'the most': interesting → more interesting → the most interesting.

Disa mbiemra janë të parregullt: good → better → the best; bad → worse → the worst; far → further → the furthest.

Rregullat

Të shkurtër
-er / -est: cheap → cheaper → the cheapest
Drejtshkrim
big → bigger; easy → easier; nice → nicer
Të gjatë
more / the most: expensive → more expensive → the most expensive
Të parregullt
good→better→best, bad→worse→worst, far→further→furthest
than / the
Krahasorja shoqërohet me 'than'; sipërorja me 'the'.
as ... as
Për barazi: She is as tall as her brother.

Shembuj

This book is cheaper than that one.

Ky libër është më i lirë se ai.

She is the best student in the class.

Ajo është studentja më e mirë në klasë.

English is more useful than I thought.

Anglishtja është më e dobishme se sa mendoja.

Today is as cold as yesterday.
