Si transmetohen pyetjet dhe kërkesat.

Shpjegimi

Në pyetjet e transmetuara rendi i fjalëve kthehet në rendin e fjalisë dëftore: nuk përdoret 'do/does/did' dhe nuk vihet pikëpyetje. 'Where do you live?' → He asked where I lived.

Për pyetjet po/jo përdoret 'if' ose 'whether': 'Are you ready?' → She asked if I was ready.

Urdhrat dhe kërkesat transmetohen me 'tell/ask + kundrinor + to + folje': 'Close the door.' → He told me to close the door. Mohorja: not to.

Shembuj

"Where do you work?" → She asked where I worked.

"Ku punon?" → Ajo pyeti ku punoja.

"Are you tired?" → He asked if I was tired.

"Je i lodhur?" → Ai pyeti nëse isha i lodhur.

"Open the window." → She told me to open the window.

"Hap dritaren." → Ajo më tha të hapja dritaren.

"Don't be late." → He told me not to be late.

"Mos u vono." → Ai më tha të mos vonohesha.
